Valvaminor Cerda, 2020a

Cerda (2020a) established this genus for a group of species previously placed in Mesothen Druce —the first species complex of Mesothen in Cerda (2008). The type species is Laemocharis masa Druce, 1889 . In addition, Cerda (2020a) placed V. desperata ( Walker, 1856) V. pyrrha ( Schaus, 1889) , V. inconspicuata ( Kaye, 1911) , V. davisi ( Gibbs, 1913) , V. pyrrhina ( Jones, 1914) and V. bleuzeni Cerda, 2020a in his new genus. The following have DNA barcodes (and BINs) in BOLD: Valvaminor sp. ( Panama) (BOLD:ADS3115), V. desperata (BOLD:AAU3098), V. davisi (BOLD:AAE9322), and V. masa (BOLD:AAE4864).
