Distribution. China (Sichuan: Maerkang-Daoping)*.

Discussion. We think it is advisable to regard this species as independent species because the male genitalia of the two subspecies ( Tachycines (Gymnaeta) sichuana sichuana and Tachycines (Gymnaeta) sichuana altimontana ) designated by Gorochov (2010) are easy to separate.
