Type locality.

Southern Madagascar, near Bekily.

Material examined.

1 ♀: MAK-2.

Distribution.

South and south-western Madagascar (very rare); the present record is the first since the original description of the species ( Guignot 1959-1961; Biström et al. 2015).

Habitat in study area.

Same as Laccophilus flaveolus (see above).
