TYPE: “ Venezuela: Mérida, Cordillera del Norte, Las Correras de los González , 4 km ENE of Jají. Lat.: 8° 35’ N, long.: 71° 17.8’ W, alt.: at 1730 m. Coll.: S. & T. Pócs and R. Rico (9732/CA), 15 March, 1997. Epiphyllous in wet montane rainforest of the limestone gorge, near waterfalls. Holotype: EGR; isotypes: G, MERC, Herb. Schäfer-Verwimp, ULM”.
