Material examined.

Holotype: male, Bhutan, 2500 ft., 25.vi.1895, leg. Dudgeon, 95-146, genit. prep. 114/1955 Tams / 3390 M. Fibiger. Coll. BMNH.

Diagnosis.

Wingspan: 13 mm.

Transverse lines: indistinct, brown, suffused with black scales; antemedial and postmedial lines marked with a black spot by costa.

Reniform: indistinct, almost invisible.

Hindwing: blackish brown.

Underside: unicolorous brown.

Abdomen: brown, with a black crest on first segment; male with a long black to brown anal tufts.

Male genitalia.

Saccus: short, slightly rounded.

Vinculum: short.

Tegumen: extremely long.

Fultura superior: fused with tegumen by a triangular process on left side.

Tergite and sternite: indistinct.

Sacculus: short, heavily sclerotised, cone-like processes apically on both valves.

Ampulla: slightly asymmetrical, golfclub-like, apically smoothly rounded; by base a small, inwardly pointed, spine-like process; on the dorsal side a small finger-like process.

Pollex : triangular, bent ventrally, short, with long hair-like setae.

Digitus: on both sides long, narrow, bent, pointed apically.

Juxta: higher than wide.

Anellus: fused with juxta only on ventral left side.

Phallus: long, broadest by ductus ejaculatorius, coiling clock-wise, U-shaped, bent, slight tapering towards apex; coecum short and pointed.

Differential diagnosis.

The male genitalia resemble those of the 2 species: T. unguis and T. indiai but differ from these in having: a shorter saccular processes; a dorsal process at the base of the ampulla; a more ventrally bent pollex. Also, the phallus is broader than in T. unguis, and less bent than in T. indiai .
