Material examined.

Holotype: female, [ India], Andamans S, 15-27.vii.1927, leg. Ferrar, Presented by R. L. E. Ford, B.M. 1949- 487. Coll. BMNH.

Diagnosis.

Wingspan: 13 mm.

Transverse lines: present; narrow, wavy, and brown; basal, antemedial, and postmedial lines marked with a black spot by costa; terminal line black, slightly broken.

Reniform: blackish, very close to postmedial line.

Underside: unicolorous brown.

Hindwing and abdomen missing.

Differential diagnosis.

T. andamani differs from the other species of the genus in having an almost complete (un-interrupted), black, terminal line.

Note. It is not possible to determine the species-group to which T. andamani belongs, so it is placed here according to its geographical occurrence.
