Etymology. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition from the type locality of the species.
Diagnosis. Males of Tenedos chiribiquete sp. n. can be distinguished by strongly sclerotized, wide median apophysis with pointed anterior tip, posterior branch of the retrolateral tibial apophysis (pRTA) short, knife-shaped, embolus base (EB) wide, strongly projected ( Figs 41A–D View FIGURE 41 ; 42A–B View FIGURE 42 ; 43A–F View FIGURE 43 ). Females are distinguished by having very short copulatory ducts (CD) tangled with spermathecae (S) forming a rounded strongly sclerotized structure ( Figs 41E–F View FIGURE 41 ; 42C–D View FIGURE 42 ).
Description. Male (Holotype, IAvH-I-6199). Coloration ( Fig. 40A–B View FIGURE 40 ): carapace orange, dark brown in margins. Chelicerae with brown paturon, fangs brown-reddish. Endites brown, white on anterior region. Labium and sternum brown slightly dark in margins. Legs: coxae I–IV pale yellow brown on prolateral and retrolateral sides. Femora I–IV whitish, apical and basally light brown. Patellae-tarsi I–IV light brown, except by tibia I, which is whitish. Abdomen: dorsally dark gray with five white guanine spots organized as follows: two small and oval spots very close to each other, anteriorly positioned; two transverse spots medially fused, medially positioned; one large, wide, transverse band, posteriorly positioned. Lateral dark gray without spots. Ventrally dark gray with a large spot, covering all abdominal area. Spinnerets pale brown. Measurements: total length 6.16, carapace length 3.46, width 2.01, height 1.39. Clypeus height 0.66. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.11, ALE 0.13, PME 0.11, PLE 0.15; AME–AME 0.27, AME–ALE 0.28, AME–PME 0.33, PME–PME 0.31, PME–PLE 0.43, ALE–PLE 0.31. Chelicerae length 1.14 largo. Sternum length 1.23, width 1.19. Legs: I—femur 1.86/ patella 0.51/ tibia 2.26/ metatarsus 2.09/ tarsus 1.24/ total 7.96; II—1.63/ 0.45/ 1.73/ 1.74/ 0.94/ 6.49; III—1.81/ 0.53/ 1.59/ 1.87/ 0.89/ 6.69; IV—2.31/ 0.73/ 1.93/ 2.83/ 1.12/ 8.92. Abdomen length 2.73. Legs spines pattern (only the differences from the general pattern): I—tibia 1 r-1r-0, metatarsus v 1r-1r-2; II—tibia v 1r-1r-1r, metatarsus v 2-1p-2; III—tibia v 1p-2-2, metatarsus v 1r-1r-2. Palp: retrolateral process of cymbium (RPC) thin, long; tegulum (T) longer than wide, membranous; subtegulum (St) visible in ventral view as short, wide region with rounded external edge; conductor (C) with poorly projected prolateral laminar region, rounded strongly sclerotized distal projection; appendix (ApC) very wide, apically square; embolus (E) inserted basally on tegulum, very filiform; embolus base (EB) wide, notably projected; spermatic ducts (SD) S-shaped thin curved in the base; ventral tibial apophysis (VTA) inconspicuous; median apophysis (MA) large, laminar, with sharp anterior projection; retrolateral tibial apophysis (RTA) with (pRTA) shorter than palpal tibia, anterior branch (aRTA) reduced ( Figs 41A–D View FIGURE 41 ; 42A–B View FIGURE 42 ; 43A–F View FIGURE 43 ).
Female (Paratype, IAvH-I-6200). Coloration and abdominal pattern of spots as male with some modifications: carapace uniformly brown, legs light brown, and abdominal spots rounded ( Fig. 41C–D View FIGURE 41 ). Measurements: total length 3.33, carapace length 1.29, width 0.80, height 0.70. Clypeus height 0.26. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.05, ALE 0.07, PME 0.05, PLE 0.07; AME–AME 0.10, AME–ALE 0.14, AME–PME 0.13, PME–PME 0.13, PME–PLE 0.21, ALE–PLE 0.12. Chelicerae 0.42 length. Sternum length 0.53, width 0.54. Legs: I—femur 0.42/ patella 0.22/ tibia 0.64/ metatarsus 0.34/ tarsus 0.43/ total 2.05; II—0.47/ 0.29/ 0.49/ 0.45/ 0.37/ 2.07; III—0.66/ 0.23/ 0.56/ 0.50/ 0.40/ 2.35; IV—0.81/ 0.31/ 0.62/ 0.80/ 0.45/ 2.99. Abdomen length 1.87. Legs spines pattern (only the differences from the general pattern): I—tibia v 1r-0-2, II—tibia v 1r-1r-0; IV—tibia v 1r-1r-1r, metatarsus v 2-1p-2. Epigyne: lateral borders (LB) very short, fused at medial side, atrium not delimited; median field plate (MFP) very small with rounded basal edge; copulatory ducts (CD) very short tangled with spermathecae, uncoiled; spermathecae (S) rounded, posteriorly positioned; fertilization ducts (FD) shorter than spermathecae ( Figs 41E–F View FIGURE 41 ; 42C–D View FIGURE 42 ).
Variation. Males (n=3): total length: 5.40–6.66; carapace length: 2.79–3.46; femur I length: 1.66–1.86.
Distribution. Known from Caquetá and Vaupés departments, Colombia ( Fig. 45 View FIGURE 45 ).
