1 Thorax laterally without bristles anterior to the transverse suture; posterior abdominal segments with long and dense setae ventrally.......................................................................... Holopogon caesariatus

2 Disc of scutellum with few to many setae...................................................................3

- Margin of scutellum with setae, disc without setae or, if with a few setae, wings deep brown......................... 5

3 Wings with yellow veins, microtrichia of wing white; vestiture white, long, dense; hind tibiae not distinctly club shaped........................................................................................ Holopogon seniculus
