Diagnosis. The new species is similar to A. abditella Hannemann, 1959 in male genitalia, and can be distinguished by the dark brown forewing; by the valva not produced ventroapically and the cuiller with dense small spines distally in the male genitalia. In A. abditella , the forewing is pale yellow; the valva is produced ventroapically and the cuiller has a spine at apex. The new species is also similar to A. nivimacularis sp. nov., and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Antenna with scape dark brown on dorsal surface, dark brown basally and yellow distally on ventral surface, yellow on anterior and posterior margins; pecten yellow; flagellum dark brown.

Mesonotum and tegula dark brown.
