Craspedisia Simon, 1894

Craspedisia Simon, 1894: 580 . Type species by original designation and monotypy, Umfila cornuta Keyserling.

Diagnosis. Species of Craspedisia may be separated from the species of other Neotropical Pholcommatinae ( Enoplognatha Pavesi, 1880 , Cerocida Simon, 1894 ; Phoroncidia Westwood, 1835 ; Stemmops O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1894 ; Styposis Simon, 1894 and Wirada Keyserling, 1886 ) by the males having conspicuous proboscis in the region of the clypeus ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C-F). Females could be confused with those of Wirada , by body shape, with rounded abdomen, with dorsal black spots and ventral abdominal plates (See Lise et. al., 2009: Figs. 14, 16, 36–37), but differ by the presence of a large colulus replaced by three setae, whereas in Wirada and the other Neotropical pholcommatines the colulus is represented only by two setae ( Fig. 7D View FIGURE 7 ; see Levi & Levi, 1962, fig. 2).
