The only records of Neozavrelia in Alaska are the larvae collected from streams in the Kantishna Hill area in Denali National Park (Braberts & Ourso 2013). Neozavrelia larvae superficially resemble those of Cladotanytarsus . The larvae of five Holarctic species are known, but only three have been sufficiently described ( Epler et al., 2013). Larvae occur in streams, rivers, lakes, and in hygropetric habitats ( Epler et al. 2013).
