Paracladopelma Harnisch, 1923 View in CoL
Our Paracladopelma View in CoL records in Alaska include larvae of Paracladopelma doris View in CoL group reported from the Arctic Coastal Plain (AWQMS 2005), larvae of Paracladopelma nereis ( Townes, 1945) View in CoL which we collected from the Yukon River, and adults of Paracladopelma winnelli Jackson, 1977 View in CoL we collected from Montana Creek in Juneau in mid-August. The latter two species represent new faunistic records for Alaska. We also collected unknown larvae from Swan Lake in Ketchikan. Paracladopelma View in CoL larvae are usually found in sandy substrates of lakes, streams and small rivers, and also in sediments of the profundal zone of deep lakes ( Epler et al. 2013).
