Selenge Aimag : 40 km NE of Zuunkharaa (48°57'N, 107°05'E), 1270 m a.s.l., 04 VIII 2015, 1♂, on Chamaenerion angustifolium , leg. MW .

Remarks.

Leptura aethiops occurs in almost the entire Palaearctic region from France to Japan ( Sama 2002, Danilevsky 2017a). The species has a broad spectrum of host plants. The larvae usually develop in the stumps of dead deciduous trees but they have occasionally been found in conifers ( Švácha and Danilevsky 1989, Sama 2002).
