Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, derived from the type locality.

Diagnosis. Males and females resemble those of M. blades n. sp. and M. cesari (Dupérré) n. comb. in having the abdomen with light whitish gray dorsal chevron pattern, but can be distinguished by having the proximal chevron mark thick and bigger than the others, with a longitudinal whitish gray line reaching the pedicel ( Figs 14 View FIGURE 14 A–B). Crista and gladius absents ( Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 C–D; 13B–C). Males with shorter embolus, without blade–shaped projections ( Figs 14 View FIGURE 14 D, E); females with straight genital opening ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 C).

Description. Male (holotype): Total length 4.8. Carapace 2.2 long, 2.0 wide. Sternum 2.0 long, 1.9 wide. Leg measurements: I: 2.5; II: 2.4; III: 2.2; IV: 2.9. Carapace dark orange. Chelicerae, palps and legs orange; coxae and trochanters lighter. Endites, labium and sternum light orange. Abdomen dark gray with a pattern formed by five chevron light grey marks, the proximal chevron mark thick and bigger than the others, with a longitudinal whitish gray line reaching the pedicel ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 A). Anal tubercle and spinnerets lighter than abdomen. Crista and gladius absent ( Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 C–D). Palp with a spherical oval, large bulb, the widest width of bulb is more than half of the cymbium length ( Figs 14 View FIGURE 14 D–E); embolus longer than cymbium ( Figs 14 View FIGURE 14 D–E), tip of embolus slightly curved, acuminate, with beveled opening ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 C–F).

Female (paratype): Total length 5.0. Carapace 2.5 long, 2.3 wide. Sternum 2.0 long, 1.9 wide. Leg measurements: I: 2.6; II: 2.5; III: 2.3; IV: 3.0. Carapace, chelicerae, labium, legs, coxae, endites and sternum as in the male. Abdomen pattern as in the male ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 B). Anal tubercle and spinnerets lighter than abdomen. Crista and gladius absents ( Figs 13 View FIGURE 13 B–C). External genitalia with a straight and narrow genital opening and wide sclerotization around spiracles ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 C). Internal genitalia with a slightly convex distal margin of receptaculum (dmr), without median concavity; uterus externus (ue) with wide proximal section; posterior plate strongly projected with a median invagination ( Figs 13 View FIGURE 13 G–I); internal fold strongly sclerotized ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 J).
