Type genus: Paralispinus Bernhauer, 1921 [preoccupied genus name, not Paralispinus Eichelbaum, 1913 [ Coleoptera : Staphylinidae ]; syn. of Clavilispinus Bernhauer, 1926]. Comment: permanently invalid (Art. 39): based on preoccupied type genus.

Clavilispinina Newton and Thayer, 1992: 59 [stem: Clavilispin-]. Type genus: Clavilispinus Bernhauer, 1926. Comment: replacement name for Paralispini Blackwelder, 1942 because of the homonymy of the type genus.
