Collection and habitat data.

Adults were captured in Lindgren funnel traps in an old jack pine ( Pinus banksiana Lamb.) forest during July and August. Larvae feed at the base and in roots of dead pines ( Yanega 1996).

Distribution in Canada and Alaska.
