TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, left bank of Rio Tapajós, Paricatuba .
DISTRIBUTION: Brazil, between Madeira and Tapajós rivers, south of the Amazon.
STATUS: CITES - Appendix II; IUCN - Insufficiently known as C. h. chrysoleuca .
SYNONYMS: chrysoleuca , melanoleucus , santaremensis , sericeus .
COMMENTS: For synonyms see Hershkovitz (1977:595-598); intermedius was transfered to C. argentata by Ävila-Pires (1985). Coimbra-Filho (1990), who called this species humeralifera , listed chrysoleuca and intermedia as distinct species.
