Trochometridium tribulatum Cross, 1965

Trochometridium tribulatum Cross, 1965, p. 120 , Figs 29-40.

This species was described from the USA associated with various halictid bees ( Cross 1965). It has been recorded from numerous bees from the families Andrenidae , Apidae , Halictidae , Megachilidae , Mutillidae , and Sphecidae in North America, on beetles Cicindella willistoni LeConte (Cicindellidae) in the USA, Ossibia sp. ( Cerambycidae ), Aphodius sp. ( Scarabaeidae ) in Sudan, and on undetermined scarab beetles in Canada, Egypt and South Africa (for references see Mortazavi et al. 2011).

Herewith are the first records of this species from Sri Lanka and Burkina Faso.

Material examined. SRI LANKA: 4 females on Orphnus sp., Wilpattu National Park , Talawila 9.X.1982, G. Medvedev leg ; 1 female on Orphnus mysoriensis Westwood, Wilpattu National Park, Talawila 8.X.1982 V. Zaitzev leg. BURKINA FASO: 1 female on Orphnus macleayi Laporte de Castelnau and 11 females on Orphnus subfoveatus Fairmaire, Ouagadougou , 6.VI.1927, G. Olsoufieff leg.
