Syntypes. Originally four syntypes, two deposited in a museum collection in Milan, one in Vienna, and one in Munich. None are known to be extant ( Downs 1967: 171).

Type­locality. “ Mexico ” and “ Guatemala.”

Distribution. Unclear, two specimens referred to G. sieboldi are reported from Almolonga, Guerrero, and Coalcoman, Michoacan, Mexico ( Downs 1967).
