Simulium (Simulium) xuandai Takaoka, Sofian-Azirun & Ya’cob (in Takaoka et al., 2014a): 361–364 (Male and pupa).

Distribution. Vietnam (Vinh Phuc).

Remarks. This species was described from a male reared from a pupa collected from Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc Province, northern Vietnam ( Takaoka et al. 2014a). The female and larva remain to be collected.
