Published misidentifications: Byers (1962a) concluded that the specimens identified as signifer in Hine 1901: 244, figs. 8, 12, 25, 30; Esben-Petersen 1921: 69, fig 73; and Carpenter 1931: 228, fig 9; were an unnamed species. These became galerita Byers 1962a: 472 .
