Holotype ♀:Apparently lost. Carpenter (1931) reported the holotype collected by Friedrich in TX was deposited at Griefswald University, Germany. However, Byers (1962a) searched Griefswald University and Humboldt Museum in Berlin, both locations where Gerstaecker had worked, and concluded the specimen was lost. Allotype ♂: MCZC [ MCZ-ENT 00793727]. USA. TX, Dallas, 15.x, C. R. Jones.

Distribution: México; Federal District*. This represents the first published record of P. nuptialis in México since referenced in the Selys Collection ( Esben-Petersen, 1921). Whether the sighting represents an established population is not known. USA; AL, AR, GA*, KS, LA, MO, MS, OK, TX.
