Geographic distribution: Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo, People`s Republic of Congo and Sudan.
Distribution in Guinea –Bissau: 5, 8, 11B, 17, 25A, 28, 34, 35, 36, 39A, 40, 41, 43, 44, 46.

Remarks: A western and central African species, recorded also for Sudan ( Werner 2000a). Adults of E. festivum occur along the shaded paths and footways of open forests, flying or running into the forest when disturbed. They are syntopic with P. concinna cursor at some localities and with R. cinctus almost in all monitored localities at Guinea-Bissau.
