Basionym:— Plectronia micrantha Baker (1887: 483) View in CoL . Type : MADAGASCAR, Central Madagascar, 'received' November 1885, Baron 3836 (holotype, K!).

Distribution:—Eastern Madagascar, in humid, evergreen forest, c. 950 m.

Characteristics: —Stipules lanceolate-ligulate; leaves subcoriaceous, tertiary venation rather prominent, domatia large and obvious. Calyx lobes ciliate.
