3.2.1. Anoplodactylus pygmaeus (Hodge, 1864) ( Figures 10 and 11 )

Material examined: St. 2, 36°27′27″N, 34°08′39″E, 1♀ ( EFSM –PYC/2010-10), 27.12.2010. St. 4, 36°30′01″N ,

General distribution: Both sides of the Atlantic Ocean ( Bamber 2010) and Mediterranean Sea. Sweden to West Africa and Azores; Red Sea; Virginia to Florida; Gulf of Mexico; Caribbean Sea (Müller, 1993).

St. 5, 36°36′10″N, 34°19′15″E, 2 ♀♀, 1 ♂, 6 juveniles ( EFSM – PYC/2010-11), 27.12.2010 ; 1 ♀, 1 subadult ♂ ( EFSM – PYC/2011-11), 25.03.2011 .

This species was reported from the Aegean coast of Turkey by Arnaud (1976), Krapp et al. (2008), and Çinar et al. (2008); from the Sea of Marmara by Demir (1952); and from the Bosphorus by Stock (1962). This is the first record of A. pygmaeus from Mersin Bay and the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
