Type data: Friese (1925) described this species using a couple of males collected by Buchwald in “Taura Boluta”, Ecuador. Unfortunately, the syntypes were not found during the development of this article .

Type locality: Ecuador: Guayas department: Guayaquil (“Taura Boluta” [probably Taura]) .
