Male: Frons dark brown, shining, very sparse hairy. First row of bristles slightly convex, antials further from each other than either is from an antero-lateral. Second row of bristles concave, all four being equidistant. Postpedicels brown, slightly pointed. Palp yellow, 2 times as long as its width, with 7–14 short apical hairs. Thorax. Scutum, pleuron and scutellum uniformly yellow. Scutellum with 2 bristles and 2 short hairs. Wing length 1.93–2.0mm. Costal index 0.49. Costal ratios 11.0–11.67:2.67–3.33:1. Costal cilia 0.04–0.05 mm. Veins brown and membrane pale. Halter yellow. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 4–5 dorsal bristles. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia extends 2/3 (0.6) of tibia. Hind tibia without isolated bristles before apex. Posterior face of hind femur with 4–5 peg-like bristles, of which proximal 2 are the longest and the rest are smaller. Microtrichia patch of hind femur extends to the outside of the group of peg-like bristles. Hind coxal lobe is nearly square. Abdominal tergite I largely yellow, pale brown at hind margin. Tergite II largely yellow, only brown at two hind corner. The centers of tergites III–V with large triangular yellow area, the rest are brown. Tergite VI dark brown with yellowish anterior half. Venter yellow. Cercus yellow. Body length 1.8–2.0mm.

Specimen examined. 1♂ (holotype), Mengyang (22°5' N, 100°53' E), Yunnan, 6-VI-1991, Guang-Chun Liu; 2♂ (paratypes), Menglun (21°57'N, 101°15'E), Yunnan, 22-V-1991, Guang-Chun Liu. 2♂, Guangxi, Shiwandashan Mountain(21°52' N, 107°55'E, 1022 m), 17-VIII-2011, Jian-Feng Wang.

Distribution. China (Guangxi,Yunnan).

Remarks. In Disney’s key (1990a), the species runs to couplet 43 to D. palawansis Disney , but different as follows: halter yellow; palp yellow; abdominal tergites III–V with large yellow triangular area; hind coxal lobes square.
