Benkoelen Res.:: Lake Ranau distr. Banding Agoeng. van Steenis leg. ; Lake Ranau. Muller leg .; same loc. ( Schmidt). - Although very closely allied to typical pruinosum the name of this subspecies may be retained for specimens in which the pale occipital markings are greatly reduced. These markings are variable to some extent. some of the Medan specimens being not different from those of Benkoelen.
