Geographic Location: AB: Moose Pasture Research Site; Edmonton River Valley; ABMI Sites ( Walter et al. 2014); NS: Southwest Nova Scotia Uplands (Rasmy & McPhee 1970); peatlands ( Behan-Pelletier & Bissett 1994); Cape Breton Highlands NP (Behan-Pelletier 2010).
Habitats: lichen on trees.
Distribution: Semicosmopolitan.
