Synonymy.

See Kaas et al. (2006).

Remarks.

Sirenko (2006) commented that Chiton bowenii is a rare species. However, in this study, it was present in two sampling sites.

Distribution.

Magellanic: Strait of Magellan ( King and Broderip 1832, Sirenko 2006): Laredo Bay ( Sirenko 2006), Punta Santa Ana ( Sirenko 2006; this record), Punta Santa María (this record), and Carlos III Island ( Aldea et al. 2011a); Orange Bay ( Rochebrune and Mabille 1889).
