The species is no more present in the Berlese Collection, nor does the name occur in the Catalogue. The original description is, however, aecompanied by three drawings, by which the identity of the species is certain. The redescription by Grandjean contains many important characters that Berlese did not observe.
Up to now the species is known from Java and Panama only.
