Remarks. Native to Pakistan, India, and Sri Lanka ( Glaw 2015), a specimen of C. zeylanicus stored at LKCNHM (ZRC 2.5927) was collected at Thomson Road in 1930. The specimen is most certainly a released or escaped pet as C. zeylanicus was a traded species as indicated by BMNH 1860.3.19.1034–1035.
