Remarks. On 28 June 2008, a large specimen of M. temminckii was caught by a fisherman at Kranji Reservoir (Ng & Lim 2010), and during the 1990s, hatchlings were sold in pet shops across Singapore (Ng & Lim 2010). Macrochelys temminckii is native to central and southern United States (TTWG 2021).
