This is a common species on Fabaceae across the entire Afrotropical Region ( Zur Strassen 2003). Adults have been intercepted incidentally in the Netherlands on different species of plants from Africa, such as cut flowers. From Ethiopia it was found once only, a single female on Rosa— cut flower at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, 2.vi.2005 (P. Rozenboom).
