Distribution: Guianas, Venezuela, N Brazil, Peru, Trinidad.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Subgenus Dermanura . Does not include gnomus or glaucus ; see Handley (1987).
