(Figs. III-5, VI-5)

Description. Male: BL = 5.8–8.3 mm. Body surface matte; head with clypeus to vertex yellowish brown; mandibles, labrum and occiput dark brown to blackish brown; antennae blackish brown; pronotum yellowish to dark brown and usually lighter along apical margin. Scutellum reddish brown; elytra light pale reddish yellow; legs blackish brown; pro- and mesosterna yellowish to reddish yellow; metasternum and abdominal ventrites dark brown except for last abdominal ventrite which is reddish yellowish. Head with labrum and clypeus moderately provided with semi-long hairs; vertex to occiput moderately covered with fine hairs; antennae scattered pale hairs on antennomeres I–IV and thin pubescence on the remainder; pronotum moderately covered with different length of whitish fine flying hairs; elytra moderately furnished with uneven length of suberect whitish hairs.

Head wider than pronotum; disk reticulately sculptured with sparse punctures; temples more or less angulate behind eyes, then narrowed toward neck; vertex narrowly concave and connected to indistinct median line of vertex; antennae rather long, reaching apical 2/5 of elytra; relative lengths of antennomeres from base to apex as follows: 30: 11: 23: 23: 33: 28: 29: 27: 26: 27: 38.

Pronotum as long as width across lateral tubercles (PL/PW = 1.01), constricted at a little behind anterior margin and slightly so before basal margin, with a rather strong triangular tubercle near middle of each side; disk moderately inflated with indistinct median longitudinal depression, sparsely and shallowly punctured. Scutellum elongate triangular.

Elytra longer than twice humeral width (EL/EW = 2.18); disk moderately covered with large punctures which are getting deeper laterally; space between punctures nearly same with size of each puncture.

Endophallus (Type A). Dorsal view: CT swollen, ds with escutcheon-shaped plate surrounded by U-shaped lds; PB tube-like; APH elongate oval with slight median constriction. Lateral view: CT well inflated ventrally; PB tube-like structure without inflation; APH elongate oval.

Female: BL = 7.1–8.8 mm. Similar to male, but differ in the following characters: antennae reaching the middle of elytra; relative lengths of antennomeres from base to apex as follows: 25: 9: 20: 23: 25: 22: 23: 21: 22: 21: 28; pronotum slightly shorter than width across lateral tubercles (PL/PW = 0.97); elytra longer than twice humeral width (EL/EW = 2.10).

Etymology. Species name, ' aequipilosa ' derived from uniformly furnished elytral hairs.

Distribution. Taiwan (Hualien, Taitung).

Ecology. Flight period: March–June. Flower records: Hydrangea , Salix , Prunus , Sycopsis , Ligustrum , Acer .

Remarks. This new species is distributed above 2,000 m in altitude of Hualien and Taitung Counties, Taiwan. It is close to L. nitidiuscula sp. nov. in the similar structure of endophallus, but it can be distinguished by matted body surface, large and dense punctures on the pronotum and elytra, relatively long suberect hairs on the elytra, and black abdominal ventrites except for yellowish ventrite V. This new species is also similar to L. confusa from China, but can be distinguished by slenderer body proportions.
