Type locality. Sicily Island (Delle Chiaje 1822);

Occurrence in the Canary Island. El Cotillo, Fuerteventura, Canary Archipelago (De Vera et al. 2009) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 , F4; Table 1 and 2).

Taxonomic remarks. Easily identified by its distinctive orange pigmentation with small white dots and thin white marginal stripe, and by the characteristic ear-shaped morphology of the pseudotentacles.
