Diagnosis. Body broad oval, dorsum moderately convex and glabrous ( Figs. 1–3 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ); Antenna relatively long, stout, 10–segmented ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Eyes small and rather coarsely faceted. Maxillary palp large, terminal palpomere elongate, gradually broadening apically ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Lateral margin of elytra not expanded externally. Prosternum T–shaped with arcuate carinae on intercoxal process which is relatively narrow with broad lateral wings ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Elytral epipleuron narrow and not reaching the elytral apex; surface nearly horizontal and flat without a distinct fovea. Abdominal postcoxal lines complete ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ).

Description. Body broad oval, dorsum moderately convex, shining and glabrous ( Figs. 1–3 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Head comparatively small, frons slightly or not convex. Eyes small with a post–antennal emargination, rather coarsely faceted. Clypeus narrowing anteriorly, and anterior margin straight. Mandible robust, with a subapical tooth just behind apical tooth ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Maxillary palp large, terminal palpomere elongate, gradually broadening apically ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Labial palps normal ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Antennae relatively long, stout, 10–segmented ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ), with an elongate oval club made up of last four segments, antennomere 1 large and bent, 2 shorter and narrower than1, 3 somewhat triangular, distinctly longer than wide, 4–6 as wide as or wider than long, 6 forming a short support for club, 7–10 gradually dilated, forming a broad club, 10 largest, rounded at apex.

Pronotum nearly pentagonal, about 2X wider than long, strongly convex, anterior margin broadly and rather deeply emarginated, the emargination arcuate, moderately concave in the middle; anterior corners strongly prominent; basal marginal line complete but very thin and badly visible before posterior corners. Scutellum small, triangular. Surface of elytra shining, outer margin not expanded externally.

Prosternum T–shaped with arcuate carinae on the process which is relatively narrow; with broad lateral wings ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Mesosternum relatively broad, 2X as wide as long, anterior margin subtruncate; metasternum wide with median longitudinal line not distinctly impressed. Elytral epipleuron narrow, reaching elytral apex, surface nearly horizontal and flat without a distinct fovea. Abdomen with 5 visible sterna in both sexes, postcoxal lines complete, strongly and unevenly curved, reaching near posterior margin, outer part of line subparallel to side ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ). Legs with femora moderately stout, fortibia somewhat broad and constricted at base, meso- and metatibiae rather slen- der, shallowly excavate for reception of tarsi, tarsi 4–segmented; tibial spurs present on meso- and metatibiae ( Figs. 11 View FIGURES 1 – 17 ).
