Radix perennis. Folia radicalia copiosa, erecta, in cespitem imbricata, acuminata, facie statices ferme. Caules aliquot, spithamaei, 4 articulis simplicissimis constantes, foliis minoribus & summis minimis ex vagina perfoliata ortis. Calycis squamae latae, ovatae, acutae, 413 brevissimae: paribus remotis. Corollae limbus dimidio brevior tubo calycis, rotundatus, crenatus. Flos unicus in caule, interdum & alter ex ala folii supremi.
