Notes. Badhamia melanospora is very common in Peru, especially developing on rotting material of endemic cacti like Corryocactus brevistylus (K. Schum) Britton & Rose or species of the genus Cumulopuntia . This species seems endemic to America’s arid regions and has never been reported from Asia, while the European records proceed from introduced plant species from America ( Aguilar et al. 2014).
