Spinotarsus colosseus (Attems, 1928)

Spinotarsus colosseus  — Ramanathan & Alagesan, 2012 a: 55, 56 (R); Alagesan & Ramanathan, 2013: 1, 2 (R); Kondepudi et al., 2015: 404 (R). “Alagarmalai Hills (10 º0’– 10 º 30 ’N, 75 º 55 ’– 78 º 20 ’E)”; “Alagar Hills Reserve Forest, Tamil Nadu”; “Kanyakumari (8 ° 14 ’23.10”N, 77 ° 20 ’04.02”E), Tamil Nadu”. Remarks: Spinotarsus colosseus  is endemic to southern Africa ( Hamer 1998) and absent from India. Regrettably, the published pictures only obscure its true identity, and the family, genus and species are deleted from the Indian fauna.
