Paratypes: 2♀, Cote d’Ivoire, Mt. Tonkoui [Tonkpi], 11 km WNW Man (Südosthang), Sekundärregenwald, 7°28′ Br. 7°38′ W. L. ca. 980 m NN, 25 viii 1997 LF (125W HQL), leg. T. Karisch , gen. slide no. GU-3891/ Karisch, in SDEI and MNVD .

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to T. mirinae Park, 2020 with small costal patch on the forewing, but it can be distinguished by the much smaller size (16 mm in T. mirinae ) and the male genitalia with the uncus more broadened, the valva strongly upturned, the juxta larger, and tergite VIII concave on caudal margin with shorter stalk. It is a bit similar to T. vernaculella Park & Karisch, 2021 which was described from Bioko, but can be distinguished by having a more distinct orange-white costal patch on the forewing, and the male genitalia with the uncus more broadened distally, the gnathos much smaller, the valva less elongated, and the aedeagus with bundles of bush-like spines medially.

Description. Male ( Figs. 3A–A View FIGURE 3 2 View FIGURE 2 ). Wingspan 13.5 mm.

Head: Shiny dark brown, with yellowish orange erect scales laterally. Antenna slightly shorter than forewing; scape elongated, broadened distally; flagellum yellowish-orange, with brownish annulations, finely serrated. Second palpomere of labial palpus thickened, arched, dark brown on outer surface, paler on inner surface; 3 rd palpomere slender, strongly upturned, as long as 2 nd palpomere, dark brown on outer surface, light yellow dorsally.

Thorax: Shiny dark brown; tegulae same color. Hind tibia roughly scaled, shiny blackish gray with yellowish bands medially and apically. Forewing ground color shiny dark brown with a copper lustre; antemedian fascia broad often obscure, tarnished black; costa slightly arched in basal third, with a small, wedge-shaped orange-white costal patch at 4/5; apex obtuse, slightly produced; termen oblique; fringe concolorous with ground color, with a narrow yellowish white basal line. Hind wing ground color pale grayish brown; apex produced; fringe concolorous, with a narrow yellowish-white basal line.

Abdomen ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ): Dark brown dorsally; subgenital segments mixed with orange gray. Spinose zones broadly developed, narrowed beyond sternite VII; tergite VIII with large crescent sclerite, deeply concave on caudal margin.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 3B, B View FIGURE 3 1 View FIGURE 1 ): Uncus broadened apically, slightly emarginated medially. Basal plate of gnathos with rounded caudal margin, exceeding apex of uncus; median process rather small. Valva elongated; costa expanded anteriorly in basal 1/3; cucullus strongly upturned, densely setose, with gently arched ventral margin; apex rounded. Juxta large, with quadrate median plate and large, triangular membranous plates latero-caudally. Aedeagus as long as valva, slightly narrowed toward apex; cornuti consisting of bundles of various setae-like shapes beyond half.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ): Abdominal sternite VIII deeply emarginated into V-shape medially. Ostium bursae sinuate on caudal margin. Antrum jar-shaped, slightly emarginated on lateral margins distally; about 1/5 the length of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae as wide as antrum, about twice the length of corpus bursae, with numerous conic spines scattered; ductus seminalis broad, arising from near half, about half the width of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate; signum with bell-shaped upper plate and narrower lip divided by narrow transverse groove medially.
