Global distribution. Western Atlantic : North Carolina ( USA) , Bahamas, Greater Antilles, Virgin Islands and Lesser Antilles, Mexico, Belize, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyanas, to Rio Grande do Sul ( Brazil) . Records in Cuba. Cuba ( Rodríguez et al. 2005; Martínez-Iglesias 2007; Lira et al. 2012).
