Pseudisobrachium capixabum   HNS sp. nov. (Figs. 58-60)

Description.-Male. Body length 3.68 mm; LFW 2.68 mm. Color: head and thorax black, metasoma dark castaneous, slightly lighter basally; mandible light castaneous, teeth and anterior portion of mandible darker; antenna light castaneous, distal flagellomeres few darker castaneous; legs light castaneous; wings subhyaline, veins castaneous. Pubescence conspicuous and not abundant.

Head (Fig. 58): mandible with 5 teeth (Fig. 59). Clypeus with trapezoidal median lobe apical margin truncate, median carina weakly arched in profile. First four antennal segments in a ratio of 28:6:14:10, segment III 2.43 X longer than thick, segment XI 1.0 X; flagellar pubescence abundant, with numerous erect setae. Frons coriaceous, punctures shallow and inconspicuous. WH 1.04 X LH, WF 0.70 X WH, WF 1.56 X HE; ocelli relatively large and widely spaced, DAO 0.13 X WF; OOL 1.42 X WOT; frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; VOL almost the length of eyes. Vertex narrowly straight, corners rounded. Temples divergent anteriorly.

Mesosoma: pronotum and mesoscutum coriaceous, punctured as on frons; notauli narrow, nearly complete; parapsidal furrows conspicuous, incomplete anteriorly; scutellar disc polished, with some conspicuous punctures. Propodeal disc 2.0 X as long as wide, approximately length 2.5 X as long as high, basal triangle irregularly striate anteriorly, posterior portion of disc and declivity with thin transverse striae, median carina incomplete, the posterior one absent, the lateral ones ill defined, lateral portion of propodeum coriaceous. Mesopleuron punctured with a large and polished callus. Fore wing with discoidal vein spectral, weakly pigmented, interstitial with median vein.

Genitalia (Fig. 60): paramere with ventral arm approximately 2.0 X wider than dorsal arm; vannus with 5 grooves; aedeagus elliptic, base very narrow, central portion about 3.0 X wider than apex.

Material examined.- HOLOTYPE: male, BRAZIL, Espírito Santo, Cariacica, Reserva Biologica de Duas Bocas , 10. X.1996, sweeping, H. Santos Sá col. ( UFES). PARATYPES: BRAZIL, Espírito Santo, 01 male, Santa Teresa, Estacao Biologica de Santa Lucia , 26.XI.2001, sweeping, C.O. Azevedo & R. Kawada col. ( UFES) ; 02 males, Cariacica, Reserva Biologica de Duas Bocas , 02. IX. 1996- 10.XII.1996, sweeping, C.O. Azevedo & H. S. Sá col. ( UFES) .

Discussion.-This species runs to P. rettenmeyeri Evans   HNS , 1961, from Panama, but in this species the median lobe of clypeus is wide apically.

Etymology.-The specific epithet refers to the type locality.

Distribution.-Brazil ( Espírito Santo).
