VERACRUZ: Humedal Los Chivos: Egretta caerulea ( Ortega-Olivares et al. 2008) . YUCATÁN: Laguna Carbonera: Egretta thula ( Ortega-Olivares et al. 2008) ; Chuburná (Progreso): Egretta rufescens ( Ortega-Olivares et al. 2008) .

Notes: Specimen from Michoacán were determined as Dendrouterina botauri and re-determined by Scholz et al. (2002) as D. papillifera . Lamothe-Argumedo et al. (1997) listed the specimens from Tabasco as Dilepis hilli but this species is synonym of Dendrouterina papillifera (see Scholz et al. 2002). The adult specimens from Veracruz and Yucatán were tentatively identified as Dendrouterina (?) papillifera because only immature worms were found and the number of testes could not be counted.
