Parinesa gnoma ( Gordon, 1977) n. comb.
( Fig. 148)
Glomerella gnoma Gordon, 1977: 219 .
Diagnosis. This apparently wingless species can be distinguished by its strongly convex minute body (BL: 1.1 mm. BW: 0.8 mm), eyes apparently divided by ocular canthus, surfaces of head and pronotum microsculptured with fine sparse setae, elytra mostly smooth. Male genitalia not well known as the parameres and the apex of penis have been lost before the original description (in Gordon (1977) Figs 116, 117); the shape of the penis guide differs notably from any species known to us.
Distribution. Colombia, Magdalena, Rio Frío ( Fig. 148).
Specimen examined.
Holotype ( MCZ).
Notes. We have examined the holotype at MCZ, but the diagnosis above is mostly based on the original description and pictures of the holotypes from the MCZ Type Database (http://insects.oeb.harvard.edu/mcz/ index.htm, accessed 14 April 2011) .
