Lectotype (Jeffrey in Kew Bull. 14: 236. 1960): [icon] "Portulaca Corassavica Capparidis folio" in Hermann, Parad. Bat.: 213. 1698.

Generitype of Trianthema Linnaeus.

Current name: Trianthema portulacastrum L. ( Aizoaceae ).

Note: Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 3: 167. 1914) stated: "Type in Herb. Mus. Brit." but gave no indication of what the material in question might be. Jeffrey’s appears to be the first explicit type choice.
