Current name: Scleria terrestris (L.) Fassett ( Cyperaceae ).

Note: Although a number of earlier authors (e.g. Fassett in Rhodora 26: 159. 1924; Kern in Adansonia, sér. 2, 2: 101. 1962) have suggested that the name may have been based on the Rheede illustration, Majumdar & Bakshi appear to have been the first to explicitly treat it as the type.
