The caterpillars were fed daily with cotton leaves of the cultivar BRS Safira. The adults were kept in a PVC cage that was 15 cm in diameter by 20 cm in length and was internally coated with sulfite paper as a substrate for oviposition. The adults were fed with a 10% honey solution, along with a 1:1 mixture of yeast and honey.
