Description

Pilsbry 1916 – 1918; Whisson and Köhler (2013).

Distribution

Probably native to the Caribbean, Central America and Brazil ( Brook et al. 2010). In Chile this species has been reported only from Easter Island (39°48 ʹ S, 73°14 ʹ W), Región de Valparaiso ( Kirch et al. 2009).

Possible mechanism of introduction/Status

Human transportation/unestablished ( Kirch et al. 2009).

Remarks

Detritivore, could compete with native species ( Brodie and Barker 2011). UA, I.
